One balmy afternoon, we decided to trade screens, boardroom, and deadlines for a lunch with a stunning view. That’s how we headed to Zorba, the charming Greek restaurant at St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat that recently debuted its business lunch menu.
A great option for the midday crowd looking for a light yet appetizing meal, the new business lunch menu is a treat. The vibrant Greek restaurant offers two Business Lunch options to choose from. The first option allows the guest to choose an appetizer and main course from its decadent menu, while in the second option, one can include dessert as well. We love desserts and strongly feel the second option is simply too lovely to give amiss.
The Business Lunch begins with a selection of spreads that are ubiquitous at Greek meals. This includes the tzatziki, the Tirokafteri – a spicy feta mousse with oregano and Greek extra virgin olive oil and fish roe dip. We think it’s the perfect start to a meal.
Greek meals are never replete without luscious salads. A colourful horiatiki salad that includes chunky tomatoes, feta crumbles and shimmering kalamata olives with a generous drizzles of olive oil and a Prasini Salata with locally sourced greens, gruyere, walnuts, croutons, cherry tomato, sundried tomato finished off with honey lemon dressing arrive, bringing with it images of the sun-kissed slopes of Santorini where meals are a celebration.
For the mains, we had the absolutely decadent Orzo pasta made rich with a variety of mushrooms, soft as butter braised Beef Cheeks served with orzo pasta, Greek herbs. and spices, and the fish fillet, which changes every day depending on the daily catch.
Dessert included an irresistible traditional Chocolate Walnut Cake with Salted Caramel on top and served with Mastic Ice Cream and a dreamy semolina cake soaked in flavoursome syrup that comes with pistachio ice cream. The perfect finale to a wonderful lunch!
